We have to admit that when things are going good, they are going good, but when things are going bad, it takes us a moment to re-adjust, re-focus and re- balance. What do you do when life hands us a curve ball? You know those things that come that we aren't prepared for or that take us by surprise. Well my answer to that question is hold on to the Lords hands even tighter than ever before. There is nothing in writing to date, that tells us the believer that we as Christians and followers of Jesus Christ will never go through anything? No! In fact the bible tells us the exact opposite. For our love of Jesus Christ we will suffer many things. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord shall deliver us from them all. We shall experience hurt and pains, and receive battle scars along the way to victory. So when the storms of life come or when things happen at the most inopportune times, we have no choice but to keep looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. He knows our end from the beginning.
It's never easy to suffer the loss of a loved one, or to come to grips of a loved one having a terminal disease, the end of a failed relationship, or have something or someone near and dear to us ripped from our hearts. However the Lord has told us in His Word, that he would never leave us or forsake us even to the end of the world. He knows what we need before we ask or need it, he feels our infirmities and has experienced the pains that we have or will go through. We have to remember to hold on and stand firm on what we believe and whom we believe in. We have to remember that we are on a battlefield, and we wrestle not against flesh and blood on a daily basis. We have an adversary who wants to steal, kill and destroy us by any means necessary. He seeks to sift us as wheat, or goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour. When curve balls are thrown our way, we are able to see for ourselves and show others what we are made of. What would cause you to endure and weather the storm, might cause another who doesn't trust and believe in our God to cave in and throw in the towel. We must make the daily effort to put on the whole armor of God to withstand the fiery darts of the enemy.
But be of good cheer, we serve a God who is much greater than any circumstance or situation that we could ever face. Anything with a name is subject to the name of Jesus Christ. We have been given the master key to press through every given situation. THE WORD OF GOD. For within they are spirit and life. Greater is he that's within you than he that's in the world. We can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us. When the storms of life start raging and our lives are thrown curve balls, we have to stand and trust in the strength of our God. We have to trust and believe that He knows our ending from the beginning. Not a hair on our heads fall to the ground without His knowing, and He cares for us as no other person in this world is capable of. Curve Balls will always be thrown our way, satan will always try to use curve balls and the cares of this life to distract and defeat the believer. However when we read the Word of God, and we go to the ending, you will see that the ending of the book never changes. We Win!
